On all the French websites having posted an article so far, they mention a short-ratio, 5-speed manual. I hope they’re right and you’re wrong!

What if its an unsynchronized manual so you have to double clutch on the up- and downshifts?

I hope so too. Auto Motor und Sport wrote that it’s got the same transmission as the Smart.

Belgian/Dutch articles are talking short-ratio 6-speed manual, even better!

I’m kind of disappointed it’s not closer to 130-140 hp (the last one had 133, albeit from a naturally aspirated engine). It should prove good competition for the VW Up! GT, if VW would finally decide to build one.

But the last one was a proper RS, this is only a Sport, like the did to the Megane. This is like the GT from Peugeot and BMW’s M-Sport. I will wait for whatever the lunatics from RS have.

True, apparently it’s even going to be called Twingo GT here. I really hope the RS guys get a shot at it, since Brabus also stopped at 110hp in the Smart equivalent.

VW loves to take time. They should finally build a successor to the Lupo GTI.

Is there a two door version?

Whatever, I still kind of want one. Damn you, RenaultNissanDaimler!

No, only of the Smart:(

The closest you can get is the Smart ForFour with Brabus treatment.

We don’t even get the ForFour.
